STATESBORO – This week, I decided to try two more sweet shops: The Sweet Impact and Smallcakes.

Robert Lucas, renowned for his sculpted cakes and cake artistry abilities, founded The Sweet Impact.

Additionally, Robert has appeared on several television programs, including Baker’s Dozen on Hulu and The Big Nailed It Challenge on Netflix.

Smallcakes Cupcakery opened in 2008 in Overland Park, Kansas, and has since grown to more than 150 locations across the country. It began as a small neighborhood bakery.

Both shops had a Strawberry Cheesecake type of cookie that I tried, and I liked both. The Sweet Impact cookie was $1.89, and the Smallcakes cookie was $3.75.

The Sweet Impact cookie was better because it was really moist and wasn’t crumbly.

The Smallcakes cookie was more like a sugar cookie with just strawberry icing. Overall I would say that I like The Sweet Impact cookie better. It was just, really good.
